Strategic Planning Summit
October 7-8, 2016
BackGroundGreat strides have been made in cancer prevention and control. However many vulnerable populations throughout the Americas are far from achieving health equity. The USC Center for Health Equity in the Americas, (CenHealth), the Immigrant and Refugee Health Initiative, the Department of Preventive Medicine and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization, the University of South Florida (USF) Health Foundation, the Healthy Americas Foundation, and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health/ Alianza Nacional Para La Salud Hispana, bring together a select group of “visionary leaders” in academia, civil society and government to present state-of-the art findings and develop collaboration and strategies to guide research and training for reducing cancer-related inequities in the Americas (Canada, USA, Latin America)
